This software never crashed but never detected the PTV signal. This prompted me to try a firmware update to 2.4.53 according to the website and an upgrade to Intel WIDI 4.2.29 software. Software/computer restarts would not fix this problem these times. Software would not crash until the PTV was on (usually). Any time, I opened the (old) WIDI software, it would freeze/crash presumably whenever it detected the TV. I think I was using Firmware 2.4.46 before. I have been using, relatively successfully, a PTV3000 (3WU146NJ0057D) with my Samsung laptop for about a year now. I'm also unsure of why the compatibility tool told my I met requirements, when I obviously don't. I don't really know much at all about computers, and I'm not sure if I can easily change the graphics so it meets requirements. If it doesn't, I understand I cannot change that easily. So I'm not really sure if my processor meets requirements. I'm confused about the processor requirements listed because they listed 2nd through 5th generations, and when I looked under the control panel at my basic system information it didn't list any of that under processor. My graphics is Intel HD Graphics Family (which doesn't meet requirements) and my processor is Intel Core i7-4510U. My wireless adapter is Intel Dual band Wireless-N 7260 (which meets requirements).
